Nicola started singing at the young age of eleven. Frequently singing at her relatives parties she
would win awards and was spurred on by a local mobile DJ.
Her group was formed after auditioning for a UK TV show "Popstars". Nicola was originally
eliminated before the final stage, but was brought back into the final ten after Nicola Ward pulled
out of the show after objecting to the show's contract. During the Popstars: The Rivals, she sang
"River Deep, Mountain High", "Shout", "Wind Beneath My Wings", "I'm So Excited". She became
the second girl to join Girls Aloud after Cheryl and then followed by Nadine.
Since then Nicola has co-written two of the group's album tracks (I Say A Prayer For You, It's Magic)
and two b-sides (Nobody But You, I Don't Really Hate You). She also known as the "Ginger Aloud" of the
group. the media see her as the quiet one and called as the Ginger one.Nicola is actually one of the nicest member in the group and my favorate member.
Nicola is the youngest of the group and was only 16 when she joined.
She also earned a place in FHM's "100 Sexiest Females" list for the past three years. 2005 (77), 2006
(84) and 2007 (47.)
Nicola has been in a couple of bands before - one called Devotion.
She just loves to sing and dance (luckily) and keeps going by downing loads of Super Noodles and beans!
She has a nasty habit of bursting into song at inappropriate moments.
